An evening of confessional and poetic cinema from five young Canadian filmmakers, united by a shared sensibility. The films are assemblages of formats, imagery, fact and fiction, all told through disarming first-person narration. Each piece is borne out of a highly individual creation process, often in which the filmmaker is the solitary artist involved.

The screening will be proceeded by a talkback with the directors and a reception, at which Suburban Beast’s Spring/Summer 2013 season will be announced.
