Pathways to Education

Developed by Regent Park Community Health Centre in 2001, Pathways to Education is an innovative program that supports youth so that they will successfully complete high school, continue on to post-secondary programs and become actively engaged in their career development. Pathways addresses the systemic barriers to education by providing leadership, expertise and a community-based program that works to increase academic retention, attainment and success for high school students.

Centre for Social Innovation

The Centre for Social Innovation creates community workspaces, incubates emerging enterprises and develops new models and methods that are changing the world. We’re home to hundreds of innovative and entrepreneurial people working to meet the needs of communities everywhere.

ArtHeart Community Art Centre

ArtHeart Community Art Centre is a community arts organization that provides free visual arts education, programs and materials to children, youth, adults and seniors living in Regent Park and the surrounding neighbourhood. ArtHeart uses art to help participants develop self-esteem, creativity, life skills and learning. By putting their hands and imaginations to work, people are empowered to improve their quality of life.

Regent Park Film Festival

The Regent Park Film Festival is dedicated to bringing high quality independent film to communities throughout Regent Park and beyond. The festival takes place in November, and also hosts year-round school and community screenings, workshops and discussions at no cost.

Regent Park School of Music

Regent Park School of Music offers quality, subsidized music lessons to the youth-in-need from Regent Park and other areas of the City of Toronto since 1999.

Native Earth Performing Arts

Native Earth Performing Arts is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creation, development and production of professional artistic expression of the Aboriginal experience in Canada. Through stage productions, new script development, apprenticeships and internships, Native Earth seeks to fulfill a community of artistic visions.

COBA Collective of Black Artists

Founded in 1993, COBA is dedicated to creating and presenting the finest traditions in dance and music that celebrate and reflect an Africanist aesthetic. The collective presents both traditional work from the African Diaspora and cutting edge contemporary work.
